Why most SEO retainers quietly fail
A common pattern: a business pays for blog posts every month for a year, publishes forty of them, and ranks for none. The writing was fine. The problem was that the site had no architecture for search to understand, seven pages competing for the same phrase, internal links that went nowhere useful, and a homepage that took five seconds to render on a phone.
Content is the last thing you fix, not the first. Publishing into a broken structure is like adding rooms to a house with no foundation — it is real work that produces nothing you can stand on.
The order we work in
Our SEO services run in a fixed sequence, because each stage makes the next one work. We audit before we recommend, and the audit produces that sequence rather than a list of two hundred issues sorted by nothing.
- Technical SEO — crawlability, indexation, canonicals, redirects, sitemap and robots hygiene, Core Web Vitals, mobile rendering.
- Architecture — one page per intent. We find and resolve cannibalisation, then build a hierarchy where every important page is reachable and clearly about one thing.
- On-page — title tags and meta descriptions written to be clicked, honest heading structure, internal links that pass relevance to the pages that need it.
- Structured data — Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ, Article and Breadcrumb schema, so search engines can read the business rather than guess at it.
- Local signals — geographic targeting, Google Business Profile, consistent citations, service-area clarity.
- Content — a plan mapped to real search demand and real buying intent, built on the structure above.
Local SEO for a Gujarat service business
If your customers are in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara or Rajkot, a national keyword strategy is expensive and slow. The searches worth owning carry a place in them, and the competition for those is a fraction of the competition for the generic phrase.
That means city and service-area pages that are genuinely distinct rather than the same paragraph with the city swapped, a Google Business Profile that is filled in and maintained, consistent name-address-phone data wherever it appears, and LocalBusiness schema that states where you work and when you answer the phone.
What honest reporting looks like
We set up Search Console and analytics properly, agree the numbers that matter before we start, and report against those — impressions and clicks by query, rankings for the terms we chose together, organic sessions, and the conversions that follow.
What we will not do is send you a rankings screenshot for phrases nobody searches. SEO compounds over months, not weeks, and any agency promising a position by a date is either guessing or gaming something that will be corrected. We would rather tell you the timeline is slow and be right about it.
