LitMeUp
A decorative lighting catalogue that had to browse like a showroom and check out like a shop. We built both, from scratch.

01The Challenge
Lighting is bought on how it looks, then justified on price and warranty. LitMeUp had hundreds of chandeliers, pendants and wall lights catalogued the way a warehouse thinks about them — by supplier part number. Nobody shops for a light called L6627-1H. Customers were asking for photos over chat, one piece at a time, and the catalogue existed nowhere a search engine could read it.
02The Strategy
We kept the part numbers, because operations run on them, and stopped leading with them. Two ways in instead: by style, for the customer who knows they want a crystal chandelier, and by room, for the customer who only knows they have a dining table and no light above it. Everything else — warranty, delivery, returns — sits where the hesitation actually happens, next to the product.
03The Solution
A custom e-commerce storefront built around category and room journeys, with the full catalogue, cart and checkout in one system the client maintains themselves.
- Full catalogue modelled by category, room and style — not by part number
- Room-led browsing plus a room visualiser for placement
- Cart and checkout with delivery, warranty and returns surfaced at the decision point
- Static-first product pages so a dense image grid still loads fast on mobile data
- Editor tooling so new arrivals go live without a developer
